We encourage families to worship together at CCPC. Sunday School for children in Cradle Roll through senior high school takes place each Sunday morning at 9:30 am, September - May. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend church at 10:30 am. Age-appropriate children's worship for ages 3-12 (fifth grade) takes place in Children's Church. After beginning the 10:30 am service sitting with their families for opening songs, prayer, and greeting your neighbor, children line up by the rear Sanctuary door and leave to participate in Children's Church. They return to the service during the offering.
Child care is available in the Cradle Roll classroom for children under 3 years old. The children may be picked up after the service.
A Cry Room is available at the rear of the Sanctuary. Families can attend to the needs of their children while being able to see and hear the worship service. Baby changing stations are located in the Cry Room, the Cradle Roll classroom, and the women's rest room near Dodds Hall.
Throughout the year, children and their families enjoy many activities such as tagging butterflies, movie nights, family nights, Halloween trunk-or-treating at the church, participating in Christmas pageants, sharing meals during Lenten dinners, bringing blossoms for the cross and holding egg hunts at Easter. Each summer, our lively Vacation Bible School encourages children to learn more about the Bible through music, games and hands-on activities. We feel strongly that children are an important part of our worship community.
