CCPC Youth Ministry
Ecclesiastes says there’s a time and a place for everything, and indeed there is. As for the Youth Group at Christian Community Presbyterian Church – we’ll spend our time loving and living for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Perhaps the best way to summarize what our Youth Group does would be to take the lines from the dynamic Christian song “They’ll Know We are Christians By Our Love*”:
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
And we pray that all unity may one day be restored
And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love
They will know we are Christians by our love
We will pray for peace and unity during our Sunday morning worship services and during our Sunday evening Youth Group**. And we will do more than pray. We will serve as ushers and liturgists! We will sing in the choirs! We will perform in plays, skits, and dramas. We will use our tools and talents to serve God and praise God.
And we won’t stop on Sundays! We will take God with us when we go to Christian camps such as Montreat and Meadowkirk.

We will work on Habitat for Humanity and Hosanna projects. We will work to provide members of the community a safe place to trick-or-treat by hosting Trunk-or-Treat. We will work to provide a safe place for the community’s homeless through Warm Nights. We will work to raise money to sponsor children through Compassion International. We will work to raise money and collect food for the Bowie Area Food Pantry.

We will walk hand-in-hand! And we’ll swim side-by-side! And we’ll shoot at each other in Laser Tag and Paintball! And we’ll eat with each other and enjoy each other’s company, friendship and fellowship. And all the while, we’ll be spreading the news that God IS in our land because we are the living embodiment of our most wonderful and most merciful redeemer.
Yeah, they’ll know we are Christian Community Presbyterian Church by our love!
**Youth Groups meet Sunday evenings, 5 to 7, unless noted otherwise on the calendar.
