Worship and Communion

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.” Isaiah 56:7

Sunday Morning Worship - May 28 - Sept. 3, 2017

10:30 – 11:30 AM--Worship Service in the Sanctuary

Following the Presbyterian Order of Worship, the service includes several music styles. Congregational singing is led by the Worship Team, Ekklesia, and Celebration Choir. Communion is observed the first Sunday of each month. All baptisms and special congregational observances take place at this service. Children ages 3-12 begin the service with their families to praise God with song and opening prayers, and after Greeting Your Neighbor line up at the door at the back of the Sanctuary and leave to participate in age-appropriate worship in Children's Church.  Children return to the Sanctuary during the offering and sit with their families for the Prayer of Dedication and closing song. An audio recording of the Scripture readings and the Sermon is available on line each Monday morning.

Inclusion and Accommodations

We are called by God to be an inclusive community and we welcome all people.  CCPC’s buildings are accessible to those using wheelchairs, assistive listening devices are available on the cart immediately inside the Sanctuary doors, and a large screen displays text to be read, spoken, or sung by the congregation.

Children are an important part of our worship community, and they are encouraged to attend church. They are welcome to begin the service in the Sanctuary with their families, and ages 3-12 participate in age-appropriate worship during Children's Church each week. They return to the Sanctuary for the offering, prayers and final song.

A Cry Room is available at the rear of the Sanctuary.  Families can attend to the needs of their children while being able to see and hear the worship service.  Baby changing stations are located in the Cry Room, the Cradle Roll classroom, and the women's rest room near Dodds Hall.

Communion

Holy Communion is celebrated at the 10:30 AM service the first Sunday of every month, and throughout the year to mark the special seasons and days of the Christian calendar. Gluten free wafers are provided in each Communion plate.

In the Presbyterian Church the Sacrament of Communion is open to all who claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You do not need to be a member of CCPC nor a Presbyterian to participate.  Parents are encouraged to include their baptized children when they are ready.
