Worship and Communion

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.” Isaiah 56:7

Sunday Morning Worship

Summer Sunday Services

  • There will be ONE Sunday service at 10:00 AM beginning July 7, 2019.  This schedule is in effect through the weekend of Labor Day.

Sept. 2019 through June 2020

9 - 10AM -- Contemporary Worship Service

This service is contemporary, led by a worship band, and includes congregational singing, special music, scripture reading, sermon and prayers of the people.  Children ages 3-12 will go to Children's church after the scripture reading, and return before the end of the service.

11AM - 12PM -- Blended Worship Service

Following the Presbyterian Order of Worship, the blended service includes several music styles.  Congregational singing is led by the Celebration Choir.  Children ages 3-12 line up at the back of the sanctuary after the Greeting Your Neighbor to go to Children's church.  They return to their families in the Sanctuary during the offering.

Both services

Both services will celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month.  Baptisms and special congregational observances take place at both services.  An audio recording of the Scripture readings and the sermon is available online each Monday morning.

Inclusion and Accommodations

We are called by God to be an inclusive community and we welcome all people.  CCPC’s buildings are accessible to those using wheelchairs, assistive listening devices are available on the cart immediately inside the Sanctuary doors, and a large screen displays text to be read, spoken, or sung by the congregation.

Children are an important part of our worship community, and they are encouraged to attend church. They are welcome to begin the service in the Sanctuary with their families, and ages 3-12 participate in age-appropriate worship during Children's Church each week. They return to the Sanctuary for the offering, prayers and final song.

A Cry Room is available at the rear of the Sanctuary.  Families can attend to the needs of their children while being able to see and hear the worship service.  Baby changing stations are located in the Cry Room, the Cradle Roll classroom, and the women's rest room near Dodds Hall.

Holy Communion is celebrated at both services on the first Sunday of every month, and throughout the year to mark the special seasons and days of the Christian calendar. Gluten free wafers are provided in each Communion plate.

In the Presbyterian Church the Sacrament of Communion is open to all who claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You do not need to be a member of CCPC nor a Presbyterian to participate.  Parents are encouraged to include their baptized children when they are ready.
