Our Current Mission Effort

Tracy’s Kids
Runs trough Feb. 13, 2022

CCPC Mission Team has decided to support a program that helps children with pediatric cancer. We are asking that, from now until February 14, we collect the items from the list of supplies found here for the organization called Tracy’s Kids. There are also some heartwarming videos listed at the bottom of this page, should you want some inspiration!

If you have questions, please contact Kris Ross [educatorkris@gmail.com or 630.391.0060.] She can pick up supplies from your porch if you ask her.  If you want to bring to church, contact Robin [ccpcbowie@verizon.net or 301.262.6008] to determine when she will be there to let you into the atrium area.

Tracy’s Kids is a non-profit organization that uses art therapy to help young cancer patients and their families cope with the emotional stress imposed by the disease and its treatment. Their work ranges from individual art therapy sessions with inpatients who may be confined to their rooms, to open studio sessions with outpatients who choose what projects to work on and share their experiences while they receive chemotherapy or other treatment.  Tracy's Kids has programs supporting many of the hospitals in and around the Maryland area that treat pediatric cancer. Currently, there are more than 2,000 children participating in these programs.
