Christmas Families

Date: November 15, 2014 - December 19, 2014

Each year, CCPC shares the abundance that God has provided us with our neighbors during the Christmas season.  Local families in need are identified by school counselors and the Bowie Food Pantry.

Volunteers in the congregation organize the information about each family on individual tags for selection by CCPC members who then buy gifts and school supplies for the children, shop for food, sort and wrap presents and clothing, organize food baskets, and help with distribution and delivery.  Each child receives a set of clothing, a toy or gift, and school supplies. Families receive groceries for a Christmas meal as well as groceries for the week beyond the holiday.

Through this local mission, generous CCPC members have provided Christmas for hundreds of children in our community.
