Crop Walk Minute for Mission – On Sunday, May 7, Bowie will have its annual Crop Walk. This is a mission of Church World Services.
St. Matthew's organized the walk and recruited volunteer leaders in the churches. Last year the Bowie Pantry received $3717 in funds from the Crop Walk. We will need walkers, donors (support a walker with a donation), people to prepare a pre walk lunch, and help with organizing the food in the pantry. Only 5% of the proceeds of this endeavor goes to administrative costs. The rest is distributed directly to the elimination of hunger, poverty, homelessness, illness, and other daily necessities. Please support the walkers from CCPC who will be in the Atrium between the 8:30 and 11 am services each Sunday until May 7. We have set a goal of $3500 to raise here at CCPC. - Frances Rocha
