Maundy Thursday Vigil
There are seven stations depicting different aspects of Jesus' life and ministry. The first is Christmas; the second, in honor of Mary; the third for contemplation of Jesus' teachings and miracles; the fourth is Palm Sunday; the fifth is in honor of the Last Supper; the sixth is dedicated to the trial and death of Jesus; and the seventh is in honor of his resurrection. Each station may be visited for a time of prayer and meditation. All this is to carry you through to Easter morning when you can blossom forth with fresh joy of a new affirmation of Christ's love and glory. At the conclusion of your vigil you may renew your baptismal vows at the baptismal font.

(Easter egg hunt following the 11:00 a.m. Children's Message)
From your Pastor:
One of my hopes is that by adding some dramatic sketches to our Holy Week services that the congregation will get a broader knowledge for the rich and powerful symbolic details of the story. Easter is not a cute story like Jesus' nativity. It is about Jesus dying and being raised to new life. It is about how we overcome the fear of death and embrace the fullness of life in Christ.
There is a story about a first grade class that was putting on an Easter pageant. The production was to be performed numerous times throughout the school, concluding with the presentation before the pastor and the parents.
One little boy was asked to play the huge stone that seals the tomb.
During each performance, during the appropriate moment, he would roll across the stage. After a number of shows, his concerned teacher asked if he would like to be something else for one of the performances—a soldier or maybe Joseph of Arimathea.
“Nope,” said the boy. He liked being the rock.
When it was over, the teacher asked, “Why did you enjoy so much playing a rock?”
“I loved the moment, when I rolled across the stage and let Jesus out of the tomb.”
See you Sunday at the Empty tomb.
