Nov. 21 after the Consecration Lunch (speaking parts need to attend; non-speaking, optional)

Dec. 4 during "Parents-Day-Out" All cast.

Dec. 11 at 10:00 All Cast. Dress rehearsal. Parents are invited to stay and be the audience.

Dec. 12 Pageant during the 11:00 worship.

You can adopt a deserving family and provide them with food basket for the Holidays as well as provide NEW Toys/gifts for children and youth from infants through adolescents. We also serve numerous senior citizens who would appreciate a show of affection with a “small” food basket. We can provide you with a list of suggested items for the food baskets as well as important dates for participation in this community project. Please contact one of the following numbers by Monday, December 20, 2004 in order to receive information about a family or client in need.

Preparing the gifts and food; December 19

Christmas Families - Thanks to all who brought food and helped wrap packages - 37 families including 135 children and 170 people altogether, received food and gifts. What a blessing! The true meaning of Christmas is really exemplified by your efforts.

Chesapeake Chorale Holiday Concert!

The Chesapeake Chorale cordially invites you to one of its two weekend Holiday concerts, this weekend, December 4 and 5th. The feature of this year's performances will be the second cantata from the "Christmas Oratorio" by J. S. Bach. There will also be seasonal favorites and carols with audience participation.

The Saturday evening concert will be at 8PM at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church next to Bowie High. Ticket prices for Saturday are: Adult $15.00, Senior/Student $12.00; Groups of 10 or more $12.00. For further information, call (301) 249-7689, or ask Kathy Sprouse, Marty Sippel or any other of your favorite CCPC members in the Chorale!

CCPC will host the Sunday afternoon concert, at 4PM in the Sanctuary. It will be basically the same concert as Saturday night, with additional holiday favorites included for the whole family. Sunday ticket prices are as follows: Adult $10.00, Sr/Stdnt $5.00; families of 4 or more $25.00 per family.

Children's story titled “The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey” .

The Homily is titled “Gold Circumstance and Mud”

8:30 p.m. is the Candlelight Communion Service with the Chancel Choir.

Both services will include the singing of the great Christmas Carols.

Christmas Joy Offering: CCPC will make a special collection for the Christmas Joy Offering on Christmas Eve. This is an annual offering made by Presbyterian congregations that dates back to the 1930s. Half of the offering goes to the Board of Pensions to supplement the inadequate retirement income of retired ministers and church workers. The remainder supports Presbyterian racial ethnic schools and colleges. Envelopes will be provided to congregation members with the Caller. Additional envelopes will be available in the sanctuary. If you want to make a donation but will not be able to attend Christmas Eve service, please drop the envelope in the collection basket on Sunday or mail it to the church.
